Meet Our Gentle Animals
One of the greatest joys of visiting Govind Farm is meeting our gentle animals. Each one has their own personality, quirks, and story. They’re not just residents of the farm—they’re cherished members of our community.
Our Animal Family
The Cows
Our cows hold a special place at Govind Farm. Inspired by traditional agrarian values, we honor their sacred role in sustainable agriculture. They’re gentle giants who love a good scratch behind the ears and are always curious about visitors.
Favorite activity: Lounging in the shade of the oak trees on warm afternoons.
The Goats
Playful, mischievous, and endlessly entertaining—our goats bring joy to everyone who meets them. They’re expert climbers and love to explore every corner of the farm.
Favorite activity: “Helping” with garden maintenance (though we’re not always sure their help is appreciated by the plants!).
The Chickens
Our flock of chickens provides fresh eggs and plenty of entertainment. Each hen has her own personality, from the bold leaders to the shy observers.
Favorite activity: Dust bathing and foraging for treats in the garden.
The Rabbits
Soft, gentle, and always ready for a snuggle, our rabbits are favorites among visiting children. They teach us about patience and quiet observation.
Favorite activity: Munching on fresh greens and hopping through their spacious outdoor runs.
The Animals as Teachers
Beyond the joy they bring, our animals teach us valuable lessons about:
- Presence: Animals live fully in the moment
- Connection: They show us the importance of community and social bonds
- Care: Tending to them teaches responsibility and compassion
- Balance: They remind us of nature’s rhythms and cycles
